Current Information:Age-21 Served as Thomas Jones 10 Tadmor Street, Shepherd's Bush Barlin Communal Cemetery, France 22nd Royal Fusiliers arrived in France in November, 1915 to join 99 Brigade, 2nd Division. On 30th May they were relieved from the front line trenches at Carency, just to the north of Arras and moved back to the support line at Cabaret Rouge and Bajolle. Things here were almost as unhealthy as being in the front line and over the next three days, while they remained in these positions, a number of men were wounded. One of these was James Lippiatt who died from his wounds on 1st June, 1916. |
